Welcome!

My name is Dr. Amy Schulz and I am so happy that you are here!

I am a prenatal and pediatric chiropractor in Salem, OR. I have had the pleasure of serving mamas and their sweet babes  for over a decade!

My passion and mission is deeply rooted in the desire to equip, encourage, and support mamas on their family’s health journey and in all things motherhood.

My Story

When I become pregnant with my first baby, I was able to put everything that I had learned and practiced for years with patients into action for myself. I did all of the right nutrition, adjustments, supplements, exercise, yoga, prenatal massage, and more.

I had a fairly smooth pregnancy and was ready for the big day!! I had a home birth and would do it all over again! My birth was a VERY tough one (full story on the Free Range Mama Project page) which further lit my fire to do everything that I could to wrap mothers with love, education, prep work, and everything in between; this was the true birth of the “Free Range Mama Project”.

My Family/My "WHY"

My husband, Ryan, and I own our practice together and have been married since June 18th, 2014.

We opened our health center in August of 2016 which was technically our first baby. My husband is a “chiro kid” meaning his dad was also a chiropractor, he was born at home, received no medication growing up, and lived a fairly nature, no-intervention life.

I am FOREVER grateful to live life and raise tiny humans with a partner who is on the same page when it comes to health care decision-making; trusting the innate intelligence of the body and doing everything we can along the way to promote health and healing in our bodies.

Our first born son came in December of 2019. He has been the healthiest child I have ever known. We are so thankful for the health principles that we live by daily and are excited to share them with the world!

You are strong. You baked and birthed a human. There is no greater strength than that of a mother.

You are inquisitive. You ask questions and dig a bit deeper knowing there are many ways to do things and you are willing to search for the best options knowing that's what your little babes deserve.

You are bold. You are not afraid to stand up for what is right for your kiddos, even if it means rubbing others the wrong way or needing to challenge mainstream standards; this is what mama bears do!

You are insightful. You know when something feels right and when something is off, afterall, you are the only one that has been with your little one from Day 1.
